Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career school. Grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships help make college or school careers affordable.

Who submits a financial aid application?
Any high school senior seeking financial assistance to help pay for college or career school. Students in college or career school will be required to submit a financial aid application every year.
Did you know?
As of September 2022 Assembly Bill 469 requires that school districts or schools ensure that 12th-grade students who have not opted out, as specified, complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid or, if the student is exempt from paying nonresident tuition under existing law, completes and submits a form for purposes of the California Dream Act.

The financial aid application is for US citizens, permanent residents, eligible noncitizens, or T-visa holders who possess a valid social security number.
The financial aid application for undocumented students, those who have a valid or expired DACA, have temporary protected status (TPS) or U-visa holders who also meet the non-resident exemption requirements under AB 540.
This portal allows students to manage their Cal Grant (state grants) and/or Chafee account (for foster youth or former foster youth) online by letting them view updates, make school changes, make address changes, and post leave of absence requests.
This is an online application used by most private colleges/universities and scholarship programs to award non-federal institutional aid. Completing the CCS Profile does not replace the FAFSA/CA Dream Act – students must still submit a financial aid application.
