What is AVID?

"AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society."
AVID (Advancement, Via, Individual, Determination) is a non-profit that changes lives by helping schools shift to a more equitable student centered approach. AVID provides scaffold supports that educators and students need to encourage college and career readiness success. For one period a day, students receive the additional academic, social, and emotional support that will help them succeed in their schools most rigorous courses.
