Community Schools Plans

Everett Alvarez High School is proud to be part of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP). Community Schools bring together students, families, staff, and community partners to create a supportive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.

At EAHS, Community Schools is more than a program. It is a collaborative approach that connects students and families with resources, opportunities, and supports that help remove barriers to success while preparing students to become college, career, and community ready graduates.

Community Schools Goals

Goal 1: Authentic Student, Staff, and Family Engagement

We believe students, families, and staff should have a voice in shaping the school community.

Current efforts include:

Parent Cafecitos and informational workshops
Community Schools Advisory Council meetings
Student leadership opportunities
Family Resource Nights
School Site Council and ELAC engagement
Family surveys and feedback opportunities
Community events and celebrations

Goal 2: Mental and Physical Health Services

Student well-being is essential to academic success.

Supports available include:

Wellness Center (The Nest)
School counseling services
Social-emotional learning programs
Restorative practices
Grief and healing support groups
Referrals to community-based services
Food and basic needs assistance
Health and wellness workshops
Partnerships with local health providers

Goal 3: College, Career, and Community Ready Graduates

We prepare students for success after high school through academic, career, and leadership opportunities.

Programs and opportunities include:

Dual Enrollment courses
Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways
AVID
Work-based learning experiences
FFA leadership and mentorship opportunities
College and career exploration events
Financial literacy programs
Seal of Biliteracy opportunities
College application and financial aid support
